Board of Directors Meeting

The next meeting of the Galaxy Soccer Club Board of Directors will be Friday, June 29, 2018, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, at the Clay Madsen Recreational Center in Round Rock, Texas. 01G Bid for Regional Dominance Ends Early

After a promising start, the Galaxy 01 girls’ bid to win the South Region Presidents Cup Championship has come to a close. The Galaxy girls started the tournament with an early morning 2-1 win over Louisiana.  The following day, though, they fell 1-4 to Tennessee in a scorching hot game. They still had a path to the semifinals if they could pull out a decisive win on Friday against South Carolina; unfortunately, despite a very strong showing in the second half, the Galaxy girls fell short, losing 1-3. Galaxy 01G Draws First Blood in South Carolina

Late Monday evening, the Galaxy 01G team set off with their families on the club’s charter bus to start the trek to the South Region Presidents Cup Championship in Greenville, South Carolina.  About 20 hours later, we rolled into the hotel parking lot, tired but in good spirits.  After a good dinner and a team meeting, it was off to an early bed to try to get enough sleep for their first game at 8 am.
